Whether or not you want to call it a milestone or a rite of passage, going to the prom is a big deal. And it's become a bigger deal as the years go by with "promposals" and whatnot. But getting all the things that a young gal needs for the big evening can be expensive, and many familes don't have the means for such an occasion. That's where we can help! Altrusa International of Akron is getting set to host its 22nd Annual Prom Dress Giveaway!
Spread the word! And if have your daughter's or granddaughter's prom dress hanging in the closet, by all means donate it! Altrusa Akron had provided more than 2,100 girls with free dresses for prom night since 2001. This year, they have 1,500 dress and all the accessories for the young ladies to browse. Volunteers will help them find the perfect dress and a seamstress will be on hand to help with minor adjustments.
Everyone should have the chance to feel beautiful on prom night.
