Tim Daugherty

staff tim homeTim Daugherty has played a variety of roles with WONE since the very first day it was on the air. A member of the original staff, he has been heard on every shift around the clock; morning, noon, and nights, even overnights!

These days, Tim is the guy to turn to for a rockin' ride home after a hard day at work. Tune him in weekdays from 2-7pm.

The Rock & Roll Authority as he's been called, (and not just because Daugherty and Authority rhyme so well), is known to drop in weird and little known factoids about almost everything rock-related under the sun. Tune in and see for yourself.

Written by
Don't look now but the holidays are upon us. Thanksgiving is next week and it's a late one so can Christmas be far behind? NO! Some of us need some prompting to get into the spirit. You may find it in Hallmark Channel movies while others find it in Christmas…

The Veteran In My Life

Written by
Today we honor veterans, the brave men and women who answered the call to serve their country whether in time of war or peace. Here's a brief history of my own father who did just that. Bob Daugherty was born in Coshocton, Ohio and enlisted in the Marine Corps after…

Back on Easy Street

Written by
We're back on Easy Street tonight and tomorrow at the Tangier. I'm referring to the local legend band that makes a yearly return to rock the faithful. These guys have been doing it since the 70s and they sound as fresh as they did back when they were the house…

Fall Back, Spring Forward, Or Leave It Alone?

Written by
We set the clocks back this weekend and returned to Standard Time but in another six months, we'll adjust the time again and push them one hour forward. And when we do this, our "body clocks" have to adjust, too. What do you think? Should we just scrap this idea…

Free Rides on Metro RTA

Written by
Election Day is Tuesday, November 5th. We know it is important to exercise your right to vote but this blog is not about that. It's also not about how a national election day should qualify as a national holiday, (which I think is a great idea). This has a more…

Written by
Paul Barrere died over the weekend. The 71 year old made his mark in rock playing with a California based band named Little Feat. Their style of rock had a southern accent with some blues and boogie thrown into the mix for good measure. They were a fun band that…

The Future is Now!

Written by
This post will prove one thing; I know very little about computers. Most of us are using computers every day. I'm sitting in front of two screens as I'm writing this now and chances are you're reading this while "on line." But this recent news from Google is astounding. It's the kind…

What Happens in Vegas...

Written by
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! We've all heard and used that well-worn adage before, haven't we? But I found this story about something new that is happening in Sin City that has nothing to do with sin or debauchery. As a matter of fact, I'd like to…
