Tim

staff tim homeTim Daugherty has played a variety of roles with WONE since the very first day it was on the air. A member of the original staff, he has been heard on every shift around the clock; morning, noon, and nights, even overnights!

These days, Tim is the guy to turn to for a rockin' ride home after a hard day at work. Tune him in weekdays from 2-7pm.

The Rock & Roll Authority as he's been called, (and not just because Daugherty and Authority rhyme so well), is known to drop in weird and little known factoids about almost everything rock-related under the sun. Tune in and see for yourself.

RIP Rob Garrison

Written by
I was saddened to read this news today. Rob Garrison has died at 59. His is not a household name but I'll bet you remember him from the 1984 film "The Karate Kid." He played Tommy, the Cobra Kai member famous for the line, "Get him a body bag! Yeah!"…

Kids Who Rock is Back!

Written by
As another school year begins, so too does the 97.5 WONE Kids Who Rock scholarship offer. I am proud to say that I was part of the planning committee that created it. I'm happy to see it continue thanks to the generous help of our sponsors such as Toth Buick…

Get On Your Bikes & Ride!

Written by
If you sang that part of the Queen song when you saw the title of this blog, it was fully intended. That's what I was thinking when I actually rode my bike to work today. Now that's a bike as in bi-cycle! The last time I did that was in…

Pride of Cleveland Past

Written by
I recently came across this newly enhanced version of the old Raspberries' song, "I Wanna Be With You." Man, it's a tasty little Raspberry treat! Growing up in the 1960s Cleveland, there was a lot of reasons to love the Raspberries! They were local guys who had a rockin' delivery…

2016 All Over Again? Let's Hope Not!

Written by
With the deaths of Eddie Money and now Ric Ocasek, we've lost two classic rockers in less than a week. It put me in mind of three years ago when the deaths of rockers were coming at an alarming rate. One day following the funeral of Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead…

The Money Man & Me

Written by
There are probably countless DJ's like me across the country who have a photo like this. I pulled it out today after hearing the news that Eddie Money had died. He was 70. He played the self promotion game better than most. When he came to town, he'd call the…

How Did You Hear the News?

Written by
Today, the nation observes the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and rightly so. But more than just remembering what happened that terrible day, I want this blog to make you think about, as the title asks, how did you hear what happened. That's easy for me, I was here…

The Who Concert

Written by
The summer concert series comes to a close at Blossom tonight when The Who take the stage with the last two remaining original members: Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend. As long as I can remember, there has been a band called The Who. I liked their early stuff from the…

That Was a Scary Start!

Written by
Like every fan, I was disappointed with the Browns' loss against the Titans on Sunday. To lose by that much before their hometown fans after the months-long build up...wow! Add to that the over 100 yards in penalties...sheesh! Post game comments referred to this game as the "fifth game" of…
