When I first came to Akron, many moons ago, one of the very first promotions I was involved with was dressing up as Santa Claus and delivering presents to some children in need. Santa didn't have his sleigh or Reindeer, but he did have a Fire Truck and I remember making the ride to school with the lights flashing and the siren blaring. Even as a grown up kid there was just something about riding a fire truck. The ride wasn't long, but the purpose was served and fun was had by all the firemen/women and especially the kids. That's brings me to this blog post.
