Consider this a public service announcement about an annual family fun event that always sells out before you even know it went on sale. It's the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad's Polar Express events.
Tickets are on sale for this magical CVSR train ride which transports wide-eyed kids (and parents, too) from Akron to the "North Pole." Along the way, elves tell stories, sing songs, and serve hot cocoa as thick as melted chocolate bars. There's even a visit from the man in the red suit himself! I've done it twice: once with my kids and later the grandkids and it's awesome. It's based on the 1985 book of the same name by Chris Van Allsburg and later, the big screen adaptation with a computer generated Tom Hanks as the Conductor.
