This past week, we witnessed the utter destruction caused by Hurricane Dorian. When it made landfall in the Bahamas, it was a Category 5 storm and at times, had sustained winds of 220 MPH. Just imagine that!. The death toll is mounting and still many are unaccounted for. Clean up and restoration will be in the millions if not billions of dollars for that impoverished island nation. As of this writing, the winds have died down somewhat but it's still a dangerous storm wreaking havoc on the eastern seaboard of the US. Feeling powerless to help in these times is common but you can turn your good thoughts into monetary help to a worldwide organization which is already "boots on the ground" in hard hit areas. Visit the Red Cross to see how you can help in the Bahamas and on our shores where Dorian is making itself know.
