Written by

Splash pads are coming to Akron just in time for the kids who will be heading back to school soon. It seems oddly timed but better late than never. Mayor Dan Horrigan was on hand for the unveiling at Joy Park Community Center on what turned out to be a sunny, hot day. Made for a good photo op. Read more here and let's hope hot, summery weather continues well into the start of the school year so the kids at Joy Park can enjoy some wet fun before it has to be shut off for winter.
