Marzipan
Marzipan is a fun, energetic kitty that would bring lots of joy & laughter to a home! This beautiful girl arrived as a sick little kitten in need of a lot of TLC and time to heal. After being a fighter she pulled through and now is a healthy and spirited girl on a search to find a home! Marizapn has been waiting for almost 2 years to meet her new family and the staff and volunteers can’t this amazing girl hasn’t been picked yet! She loves playtime and to just be around to “help” in any kitty way she can. A home with older children would be best for this pretty girl, since at times she can get a bit frisky. When it’s time to relax, Marzipan likes to crawl on your lap & get pets. She has potential with the right cat friend & seems to get a long extremely well with dogs. Paula is a 6 year old Rat Terrier that weighs about 10 pounds. This sweetie pie gets along well with most dogs and seems to have potential with cats. Written by Sandra MillerIf you know your rock, it's no secret that there are crazy similarities between Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" and the instrumental "Taurus" by Spirit, but they've never filed a copyright infringement case. That could change. An article in Bloomberg Businessweek suggests that Jimmy Page may have borrowed a riff from 1968's "Taurus" to create the opening of "Stairway" in 1970. Spirit bassist, Mark Andes, says the two bands played several shows together in 1969 and he believes Page heard them doing "Taurus." Spirit guitarist Randy California, who wrote "Taurus," said, "It was a ripoff and the guys made millions of bucks on it and never said ‘Thank you,’ never said, ‘Can we pay you some money for it?’ It’s kind of a sore point with me. Maybe someday their conscience will make them do something about it.” California died in 1997 and now Andes is working with a legal team. Check out the two songs and decide for yourself...

He loves getting pets and will rub his face all over you soaking up all the love you have to spare. He enjoys playing with toys and sightseeing out windows. Lacy is a 4 year old Pit Bull mix that weighs about 50 pounds. She has potential with the right dog and would do best in a home with older children. She is a sweet and loveable lady that loves to play with squeaky toys and seems to get along well with other dogs. Destiny hopes she gets to be part of a family again very soon!

Roxxy
Roxy is a 5.5 year old Pit Bull / Bulldog mix that weighs about 65 pounds. She loves her toys and you will usually see her greeting you at her kennel door with one in her mouth! She also likes to take them on walks and a good game of fetch is always fun too! She thinks that she is an oversize lap dog and will sit on your lap or right by your side soaking in all the love and pets you have to share.
