Meet Bella & Milo aka Benny

Bella 1  Benny 1

Okay ... this tiny girl and small boy are just PERFECT in EVERY WAY! We were all in love with them in their photo-shoot.  The two were traveling together when they were picked up.  They are both tiny and a perfect example of beautiful stock Beagles. Their tails never stopped the entire time we worked with them and they never minded us handling them at all.  Observing their behaviors, it was apparent that someone did a wonderful job raising these two very polite, and bonded, dogs.

After getting the pictures out there in social media outlets, the pet parents did come forward with a plea for help.  Feeling very familiar with Rubber City Radio personalities, they saw the Pay It Forward For Pets logo on the photos and reached out to us stating, “having listened for years, we feel like you are all trusted friends.”  They have had a lot of life changes and are no longer able to safely care for their beloved Beagles (approximately 3 years of age) and want us to help get them placed into a loving home – together!  These two are sooooo precious … if my husband permitted me, they’d be at my house today!  I really want them badly but I have to respect my limits.  They like other dogs and couldn’t care less about cats.  They like people young and old, big and small.  These dogs would be wonderful with a family OR all adult home; however, CONTAINMENT will always be KEY to their well-being.  These 2 have a history of hitting the road and will continue to do it if not kept safely contained.  Once a dog has a taste of freedoms, they always want to explore and because they are so small, they won’t fare well if hit by a car.

Adoption of these 2 cutie-pies will go through PIFFP (NOT Summit County Animal Control) so please contact us directly @ 330.760.0763 to inquire.  Don’t delay … with a lot of living to do, these young dogs want to meet their forever home TODAY!!!

Note:  Please keep in mind that all adoptable pets need time to decompress once they enter a home.  For some it will happen quickly and for others it might take a few weeks.  You'll want to be understanding of what they have been through and their level of insecurity.  We ask that you treat all of them as if they were an 8 week old puppy (or kitty).  Assume they know nothing and begin at step one.  You'll soon know what they are capable of and what behaviors you will need to kindly work on with your new family member.  It's called commitment!  And, that's what these pets want more than anything!

Meet Marcela & Ambrosia

marcela2   cat ambrosia

Marcela is a 2-3 year old Pit Bull mix that weighs about 55 pounds. This pretty girl enjoys playing fetch with a tennis ball but her absolute favorite pastime is hanging out by your side soaking in all the love and pets you are willing to spare! She gets along well with most other dogs and has a happy and out-going disposition. Stop down to Pawsibilities, Humane Society of Greater Akron today to meet this lovely lady!

Meet Ambrosia! This little beauty is still adjusting to life here at the shelter and slowly coming out of her shell more and more each day. Once Ambrosia warms up she enjoys being pet and loved on. She has potential with other cats and a calm dog. Ambrosia is hoping for a calm and quiet home with a family who has the time and patience to help her adjust to a new home. Ambrosia is ready and waiting at our shelter for her "purr-fect" family! If you would like to get to know Ambrosia better, please stop by our shelter and ask to meet her today!

Meet Lynx & Nevada

nevada    cat lynx

Nevada is a 3-4 year old Pit Bull mix that weighs about 55 pounds. This handsome and happy boy loves to play and snuggle up for pets. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. Nevada is a fun-loving fella who can't wait to become part of a family!

Lynx is around a year old and came to us from a Good Samaritan with her four kittens. Now that her kittens have been fully weaned and have all found homes, Lynx is ready for a home of her own. This little beauty enjoys being pet and will sit on you lap and just purr away. Sometimes when first meeting new people and places she can be a bit shy at first but quickly warms up with a few gentle pets on her head and cheeks. Lynx shows potential to get along with other cats. She can't wait for you to come say "hi" and ask to meet her today!

Meet Rockstar! This guy is sure to be the life of the party when he enters your home! Rockstar is around 4-5 years old and came to us by our Humane Officers. He is an energetic boy who like every rockstar, loves to have fun! He enjoys playing with interactive toys like lasers and wand toys. Because Rockstar's world revolves around him, he enjoys pets in moderation and likes to solicit pets on his own. Sometimes when he gets really excited he can become a bit frisky. Although, Rockstar prefers not to be held and picked up, he does like to jump into your lap and be pet or just hang out. Due to the fact Rockstar can be easily excitable, an adult only home or family with children 16 or over would be best for him. If you're looking for a cool cat with a unique personality, Rockstar is your guy! Please stop on down to PHSGA and ask for a chance to meet this Rockstar today!

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's oldest daughter, Aimee, has followed her heart into the music business. She calls herself ARO (pronounced arrow - and also her initials), and her first single is "Raining Gold." It's a slow, beautiful creepy song and shows her wandering around a diner with bloddy people and severed limbs scattered everywhere...

Yes is releasing a new 2-disc live album and a 14-disc box set featuring newly discovered performances from the band's 1972 fall North American tour. Progeny: Highlights from Seventy-Two is a 90-minute 2-CD set with bits from seven shows on the tour. Progeny: Seven Shows from Seventy-Two is on 14 discs and freatures all seven complete shows. Look for both in stores on May 19th.

We already know Joe Perry and Paul McCartney were in the studio this fall working on a secret project, but noe Perry has let us in on a few more details. The two are making appearances on a song that will be on the covers album Alice Cooper is recording with his new group Hollywood Vampires. The song? "Come And Get It," the song Paul wrote and produced fro Badfinger.

All this week on the Jeff Kinzbach Morning Show at 7:40, you can win tickets to see The Musical Box at the State Theater Playhouse Square Friday February 20th at 7:30.  If you like Genesis you will love this.  Highly endorsed by Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins, The Musical Box recreates the early years of this great band.  Genesis has supported The Musical Box in many ways. In 2002 their former guitarist Steve Hackett joined the band in LondonEngland at the Royal Albert Hall, playing on a special encore of "Firth of Fifth".   Drummer Phil Collins watched the Lamb show in Geneva in 2005, and joined the band onstage to play drums during the encore of "The Musical Box". He watched the entire show and told reporters afterwards that "they played it better than we did."   Peter Gabriel, meanwhile, has taken his children to a show so "they could see what their father used to do."
