Okay ... this tiny girl and small boy are just PERFECT in EVERY WAY! We were all in love with them in their photo-shoot. The two were traveling together when they were picked up. They are both tiny and a perfect example of beautiful stock Beagles. Their tails never stopped the entire time we worked with them and they never minded us handling them at all. Observing their behaviors, it was apparent that someone did a wonderful job raising these two very polite, and bonded, dogs.
After getting the pictures out there in social media outlets, the pet parents did come forward with a plea for help. Feeling very familiar with Rubber City Radio personalities, they saw the Pay It Forward For Pets logo on the photos and reached out to us stating, “having listened for years, we feel like you are all trusted friends.” They have had a lot of life changes and are no longer able to safely care for their beloved Beagles (approximately 3 years of age) and want us to help get them placed into a loving home – together! These two are sooooo precious … if my husband permitted me, they’d be at my house today! I really want them badly but I have to respect my limits. They like other dogs and couldn’t care less about cats. They like people young and old, big and small. These dogs would be wonderful with a family OR all adult home; however, CONTAINMENT will always be KEY to their well-being. These 2 have a history of hitting the road and will continue to do it if not kept safely contained. Once a dog has a taste of freedoms, they always want to explore and because they are so small, they won’t fare well if hit by a car.
Adoption of these 2 cutie-pies will go through PIFFP (NOT Summit County Animal Control) so please contact us directly @ 330.760.0763 to inquire. Don’t delay … with a lot of living to do, these young dogs want to meet their forever home TODAY!!!
Note: Please keep in mind that all adoptable pets need time to decompress once they enter a home. For some it will happen quickly and for others it might take a few weeks. You'll want to be understanding of what they have been through and their level of insecurity. We ask that you treat all of them as if they were an 8 week old puppy (or kitty). Assume they know nothing and begin at step one. You'll soon know what they are capable of and what behaviors you will need to kindly work on with your new family member. It's called commitment! And, that's what these pets want more than anything!
Marcela is a 2-3 year old Pit Bull mix that weighs about 55 pounds. This pretty girl enjoys playing fetch with a tennis ball but her absolute favorite pastime is hanging out by your side soaking in all the love and pets you are willing to spare! She gets along well with most other dogs and has a happy and out-going disposition. Stop down to Pawsibilities, Humane Society of Greater Akron today to meet this lovely lady!
Meet Ambrosia! This little beauty is still adjusting to life here at the shelter and slowly coming out of her shell more and more each day. Once Ambrosia warms up she enjoys being pet and loved on. She has potential with other cats and a calm dog. Ambrosia is hoping for a calm and quiet home with a family who has the time and patience to help her adjust to a new home. Ambrosia is ready and waiting at our shelter for her "purr-fect" family! If you would like to get to know Ambrosia better, please stop by our shelter and ask to meet her today!
Nevada is a 3-4 year old Pit Bull mix that weighs about 55 pounds. This handsome and happy boy loves to play and snuggle up for pets. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. Nevada is a fun-loving fella who can't wait to become part of a family!
Lynx is around a year old and came to us from a Good Samaritan with her four kittens. Now that her kittens have been fully weaned and have all found homes, Lynx is ready for a home of her own. This little beauty enjoys being pet and will sit on you lap and just purr away. Sometimes when first meeting new people and places she can be a bit shy at first but quickly warms up with a few gentle pets on her head and cheeks. Lynx shows potential to get along with other cats. She can't wait for you to come say "hi" and ask to meet her today!
