Meet Cupcake, Sprinkles & Jacob
In December 2013, our Humane Offices brought in 33 cats and 5 dogs from a neglect case. All the animals from the home have found loving homes except for two special and loving dogs, Cupcake and Sprinkles! This dynamic duo has been waiting patiently for their turn to find a wonderful home and we hope that their time is near. Cupcake and Sprinkles are a very bonded Sharpei mix pair and they must be adopted out together. They love each other very much. This is evident when you see them playing and chasing each other and sleeping and cleaning one another. With this rock star pair you get the best of everything with unique but similar personalities. Cupcake a 4-5 year old neutered male weighs about 40 pounds (he is the one on the right). He is the playful self-entertainer of the two. Cupcake will be the first to greet you and then will be ready to throw his toys around the room while checking in every couple minutes for pets. Sprinkles is a 6-7 year old spayed female and weighs about 30 pounds. She is the wallflower of the two and is shy when first meeting new people but once she warms up she will stick close by your side for as many pets and TLC as you are willing to spare. Coming from a home with over 30 cats they both seem to get along well with kitties and both show potential with other dogs. Sandra Miller's Daily Buzz: An interview with Tom Gimbel of Foreigner

I had an opportunity to catch up with Tom Gimbel of Foreigner to talk about the tour, and his very interesting career and hobbies. Tom has been a long time member of Foreigner, but before that he was a a member of Aerosmith. He played backing instruments, including flute and sax for Aerosmith on tour, during theie MTV Unplugged show (he was the dude playing the flute on Dream On) and even took part in Waynes World - YES he was part of the Tom Hanks/ Waynes World skit! When Foreigner took a short break, he decided to take up golfing, and has since become a certified golf instructor. He's got some great Aerosmith, celebrity golf, and Foreigner stories. And as a mom to a boy that plays flute, he gave me plenty of great rock songs featuring flute to share with my son. Hear our entire conversation here:

Sandra Miller's Daily Buzz - AC/DC's Phil Rudd gets sentenced
Written by Sandra MillerAC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been handed an 8 month home detention stemming from drug convictions and threatening-to-kill charges. Rudd was looking at up to 7 years in prison, but got off pretty easy. Rudd will be confined to his home - a waterfront mansion in Tauranga, New Zealand. Rudd's attourney asked the judge to throw out the conviction all together, stating that 8 months detention could cost him millions in tour money. The judge snapped back that Rudd didn't seem to be getting any offers to tour with AC/DC and even suggested that Rudd isn't integral to the band's sound. Ouch!! That had to sting a little.

Patrick Carney stopped in to the WONE Studio today!
Written by Sandra MillerBlack Keys drummer stopped by the WONE studios today with his dad, James Carney to help spread the word about a very cool event for a heartbreaking, but good cause. Pat has reunited with his "other" band, Drummer (which Pat play bass in) for a two night event dubbed, Danstravangaza. It's all to pay tribute to friend Dan Van Auken, who passed away of brain cancer last summer at 34. Dan was an avid runner, and a beloved teacher in Wadsworth. The weekend event will raise money for a new track fiend in Wadsworth, and it will be named Van Auken Field. Joining Drummer, are two other reunited bands, Houseguest & The Man I Fell In Love With. Meet Marybeth & Elana
Marybeth is a 4 year old female who came to us with one of her feline friends. She is a friendly girl who enjoys being pet and loved on. Marybeth is still transitioning to life here at the shelter but it doesn't take her long at all to feel at ease.
