These two boys from the Humane Society of Summit County are looking for their forever homes today!
What a beautiful color Carol the cat is! His personality is a hit at the shelter. He will often call out for attention and he will come right out of his cage to make friends. He seems to like other cats and he would be a great fit for people and families of all ages.
Otis is a 1-2 year old Collie mix that weighs 60 pounds. Otis is a happy boy who is looking for a family to call his very own! This handsome boy loves to play with toys of all kinds and soak up all the pets he can get! He gets along well with other dogs and would do best in a home with older children. A Navy fighter pilot had to crash land his plane on a carrier. It was quite a wreck and he woke up a week later in the hospital, in severe pain. He found himself in the ICU with tubes and IV drips in both arms, a breathing mask, and wires monitoring every function and a nurse hovering over him. It was obvious he was in a life threatening situation.
The nurse gave him a serious look, straight into his eyes.
Knowing he was not only a fighter pilot but a sailor,she spoke to him softly and slowly,enunciating each word:
"You may not feel anything from the waist down."
Somehow he managed to mumble in reply, "OK then,
