ShuggsShuggs
16 Apr 2014 13:11

Shuggs is a 10 year old Spaniel/Lab mix that weighs about 70 pounds (but would benefit from losing some weight). She is an easy-going girl that walks well on the leash and gets along with other dogs. However, when you bring out a toy, this laid-back lady still has some spunk in her and is happy to romp around for a bit. Shuggs is as sweet as they come, stop down to the PHSGA and meet this big beautiful beauty today!

LawnieLawnie
09 Apr 2014 13:13

Lawrie is around 4-5 years old. He arrived at the PHSGA when the Humane Officers found him and over 30 of his furry friends living in unsanitary conditions. He seems to do well with other cats and shows good potential with dogs. He really doesn’t like to be held and because of this we recommend a home with no small children. He loves getting pets and will rub his face all over you soaking up all the love you have to spare. He enjoys playing with toys and sightseeing out windows. If you think you can give Lawrie the home he so deserves stop by the PHSGA today to meet this handsome man!

LacyLacy
09 Apr 2014 13:13

Lacy is a 4 year old Pit Bull mix that weighs about 50 pounds. She has potential with the right dog and would do best in a home with older children. This girl is one smart cookie and already knows sit, down, shake, and speak. She loves to get as many pets as you’re willing to give and will thank you with tons of kisses. She loves all toys but her favorite are the squeaky ones. Lacy can’t wait to become part of a family!

Sandra MIller's Daily Buzz: Jimi's final interview & The Chili Peps come clean on their super fake Super Bowl performance

Written by Sandra Miller. Posted in Sandra's Daily Buzz

PBS's digital studios has taken Jimi Hendrix's final interview before his death and set it to animation for their Blank on Blank series. The theme of the series is "famous names, lost interviews." The interview is from September 11, 1970. Check it out...

The pictures and accusations have been floating around all week about how The Red Hot Chili Peppers were totally unplugged and faking that they were playing their instruments. Flea issued a statement saying that the NFL allows live vocals, but is very strict aboutinstruments being pre-recorded. They have very little time to get the halftime show done and will not let poor quality sound interfere with the halftime show. Flea admits the band is very set against faking and miming their music, but agreed this was a once in a lifetime thing to be on the halftime show of the Super Bowl and went ahead with the gig - but purposely did not plug in - which would have avoided the controversy - but "thought better to not pretend."

"When we were asked by the NFL and Bruno to play our song Give It Away at the Super Bowl, it was made clear to us that the vocals would be live, but the bass, drums, and guitar would be pre-recorded. I understand the NFL's stance on this, given they only have a few minutes to set up the stage, there a zillion things that could go wrong and ruin the sound for the folks watching in the stadium and the t.v. viewers. There was not any room for argument on this, the NFL does not want to risk their show being botched by bad sound, period.
