Fifteen minutes with former Eagles guitarist Don Felder
It was the morning of my birthday when the phone rang and former Eagles guitairst Don Felder was on the other end. Happy Birthday to me! Don Felder is my favorite Eagle, he was like the George Harrison of the group - the quiet guy who created a lot of the band's signature sound, but who's work was overshadowed by the group's stronger personalities. We discussed this, his new album, "Road to Forever," his thoughts on being canned from the band, his guitar teacher (Duane Allman) as well as his guitar student (Tom Petty), and how much amazing rock came to surface 40 years ago. Listen to the entire interview here...
Felder on his new album...
Felder on early years in Gainesville and the amount of great, lasting rock that surfaced 40 years ago...
Felder on writing Hotel California...
Felder on being fried from The Eagles
