Lawrie is around 4-5 years old. He arrived at the PHSGA when the Humane Officers found him and over 30 of his furry friends living in unsanitary conditions. He seems to do well with other cats and shows good potential with dogs. He really doesn’t like to be held and because of this we recommend a home with no small children. He loves getting pets and will rub his face all over you soaking up all the love you have to spare. He enjoys playing with toys and sightseeing out windows. If you think you can give Lawrie the home he so deserves stop by the PHSGA today to meet this handsome man!

Lacy is a 4 year old Pit Bull mix that weighs about 50 pounds. She has potential with the right dog and would do best in a home with older children. This girl is one smart cookie and already knows sit, down, shake, and speak. She loves to get as many pets as you’re willing to give and will thank you with tons of kisses. She loves all toys but her favorite are the squeaky ones. Lacy can’t wait to become part of a family!

Congrats to Liana McDavitt of Sullivan. She wins the works from Klaben Auto stores in Kent!!!!

A State Trooper pulled a car over at an OVI checkpoint because he was speeding. When the trooper asked the driver why he was speeding, the driver said he was a juggler and was on his way to do a show at the Shrine Circus in Canton. He didn't want to be late.

The trooper told the driver he was fascinated by juggling and said if the driver would do a little juggling for him then he wouldn't give him a ticket. He told the trooper he had sent his equipment ahead and didn't have anything to juggle. The trooper said he had some flares in the trunk and asked if he could juggle them.

The juggler said he could, so the trooper got 5 flares, lit them and handed them to him. While the man was juggling, a car pulled in behind the patrol car. A drunken good old boy got out, watched the performance, then went over to the patrol car, opened the rear door and got in. The trooper observe [ ... ]

Michiko is around 7 years old and arrived at the shelter with over 30 other kitty cat friends and 5 dogs. She is a sweet and easy-going girl that loves to get pets and be by your side. She gets along with other cats and even dogs. She has that perfect mix of being a laid-back lady but still some spunk to play like a kitten. Michicko can't wait to become part of a family!

Max is a 4 year old Lhasa Apso mix that weighs about 15 pounds. He arrived at the Humane Society with a severely injured leg. Due to the injury, there was no choice except to amputate, but being a tripod hasn’t slowed Max down or dampened his spirits! This happy and loving boy gets along well with everyone he meets, including other dogs. He loves belly rubs and enjoys playing with toys. If you think Max sounds like he could be a match for your family, stop in and meet this special boy today!

Folk legend Pete Seeger has passed away from natural causes at the age of 94. Seeger grew up in New York and was the son of a musicologist and a classical violinist. He was a huge part of the New York music scene in Greenwich Village and an early supporter of Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and more. He inspired countless musicians with his music to promote change and open the world's eyes, including Bruce Springsteen, whi became his friend and even put out an album of Seeger's music.
