Slash on new music, Velvet Revolver & Elmo

Eric Clapton is hard at work on a new album that he hopes to have out in stores early next year - which will be his 50th year as a professional musician.

Slash is hard at work writing songs for a new album as well while his singer, Myles Kennedy, is off with his other band, Alter Bridge. He also says the search for a new Velvet Revolver singer still isn't over yet. They will take as long as they need to until they find a singer that they are happy with (obviously, how many years has it been now?). But the important fact we need to clear up with Slash is the rumor that he will be appearing on Sesame Street. He says no. If he could jam with Animal he would consider it, but he's not going to pretend to be talking to Elmo.  Party Pooper!
