Aerosmith were back in action over the weekend after canceling a show last week so drummer Joey Kramer could have a "procedure" done. Well, MOST of Aerosmith. Joey Kramer is temporarily being replaced by his son, Jesse.  Reports were flying that Joey had a heart related emergency, but the band was downplaying those rumors. According to Joey's wife, Linda, he underwent a procedure "related to his heart," but said he doesn't have a history of heart problems and did not undergo "emergency open heart surgery." The band will use Jesse until Kramer is ready for action.

 

Tabloid magazine, Page Six, has published a story that puts Paul McCartney in the studio with Kanye West. They are rumored to be working on several songs together, including one tentatively called "Piss On My Grave."

Ted Nugent has been busy working on his first new album of original materiel in 7 years. "Shut Up & Jam" hits stores July 8th, and he's released the first single, "Everything Matters" online. Check it out!

 

Merry Clayton, the powerful back up singer - hear on "Gimme Shelter", "Sweet Home Alabama" and countless other songs has been seriously injured in a car accident. In a statement in her official website, it reads; "

At approximately 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2014, Merry was involved in a major automobile accident in Los Angeles, California.

"Merry sustained severe injuries to her lower body, including major trauma to her lower extremities. We are truly grateful that our dear Merry is still with us."

Lars Ulrich of Metallica has accepted the Drum Off Challenge from Will Ferrell and RHCP drummer Chad Smith. The two had a fun drum-off on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon a few weeks ago that people are still talking about, and the two told Spin Magazine that they want to take on Lars Ulrich next. Chad's words of advice - "leave the double bass drums and bring more cowbell."

 

A new World Cup commercial for Budweiser features the Guns n' Roses song “Paradise City,” some famous soccer playersrapping it and a cameo from Axl Rose himself. The players become the rock stars, and at the end of the two and a half minute commercial they throw a pick into the audience that Axl Rose catches, and then toasts them with his Budweiser.
